How to setup Gmail to send and receive branded email

Step 1: Access Gmail Settings

Log in to your Gmail account.

  • Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "Settings".
  • In the Settings menu, click on "See all settings".

Step 2: Configure "Send Mail As"

  • In the "Accounts and Imports" tab, locate the "Send mail as" section.
  • Click on "Add another email address".
  • A pop-up window will appear; enter your webmail email address (e.g., contactus@yourdomain.com).
  • Set the SMTP server port to 587.
  • For the username, use your webmail email address again (e.g., contactus@yourdomain.com).
  • Enter the password for your webmail account.
  • Click "Next".
  • Google will send a verification code to your webmail. Access your webmail and retrieve the code.
  • Enter the verification code in the provided field in Gmail.

Step 3: Configure "Check Mail from Other Accounts"

  • In the same "Accounts and Imports" tab, click on "Add a mail account" in the "Check mail from other accounts" section.
  • Enter your webmail email address (e.g., contactus@yourdomain.com).
  • Click "Next".
  • Set the POP3 server port to 110.
  • For the username, use your webmail email address (e.g., contactus@yourdomain.com).
  • Enter the password for your webmail account.
  • Click "Add Account".

Step 4: Testing

  • Gmail will send you a confirmation email to verify the added account.
  • Once the account is confirmed, you can send an email to your webmail address from another email account.
  • Check your Gmail inbox to see the email. You can also reply to emails using your webmail address.

That's it! Your Gmail account is now linked to your webmail account. When you send emails through Gmail, recipients will see your webmail address as the sender. It's that simple.

Thank you for hosting your branded email with ourchurch.com.
